As the culinary program came to an end, her obsession to uncover the secrets behind the best tasting local produce and meats did not. After taste-testing produce, meats and other food stuffs at nearly every farmer's market and specialty food store in and around LA, Laura's passion for organics arose and she came to this conclusion:The best tasting foodstuff always came from sources that had one thing in common, they were organic.

Before long, Laura and her husband John found themselves building an edible organic garden in their front and backyard. Through their dedication to their gardens and combined with Laura's culinary skills, the couple soon reaped the rewards of home grown organic produce. Laura's curiosity about organics further inspired her to heavily research the benefits of consuming organic food. Not only did she discover the truth behind conventionally grown food but by educating herself on organics, she cultivated a new balanced lifestyle.

As an avid yoga devotee, Laura already practiced aspects of the art of a well-balanced life and began incorporating organic living into every phase of her and her husband's lives. Not only do they grow and eat organic food, but, over a gradual period of time, they have easily introduced organic and sustainable living practices in their home. Laura became so fired up about organics and sustainable living practices she began writing about it and decided to share her knowledge and experience with a larger audience.
