Job Description and Responsibilities & Duties

BOOMj.com Inc., is a Web-based lifestyle portal for a niche market serving Baby Boomers and Generation Jones. BOOMj.com provides an integrated and highly focused community which incorporates personalized social networking and e-commerce, travel, health, finance, political and entertainment news for our target market.

BOOMj.com, Inc. is hiring a full time Web Designer for its Santa Ana office. We're looking for someone who is as an active team participant and can work in a fast paced environment on web development projects. This person will be responsible for designing and creating the look and feel of the web pages for the site. They will also be working directly and indirectly with the marketing department and must be willing to learn whatever it takes to help make the team's creative imagination successful. BOOMj has a unique and forward thinking company culture. This position is for someone who wants to expand on their own creative ideas and continually learn.

Skills:

  • Design, create, produce, and maintain web pages and web applications, including creating images, text, and graphics for web site.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with dynamic job responsibilities and priorities
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with other technical staff members, to complete short and long term projects

Technical Skills

  • Photoshop
  • Illustrator
  • Dreamweaver
  • Flash/Flash ActionScript
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/XHTML, JavaScript and CSS
  • Understanding of XML and RSS feeds
