Dave Hager, Boomer-Living.com Director, CBLC (Certified BoomerLiving®Consultant). Like most Hollywood actors, Dave has an eclectic background. He has been an advertising exec, a restaurateur, a hospitality industry manager and consultant, real estate sales executive, trainer and manager, all before becoming an actor, screenwriter and director.

He spent fifteen years in Hollywood, beginning his life over again at the age of forty five. Dave learned, first hand, the joys and pains of such a risky move. He went from casting office to casting office with nothing but rejections. But in the end, he walked the red carpet at a Paramount Pictures world premier complete with paparazzi and REAL movie stars.

Dave admits that shaking hands with Sean Connery was an unforgettable experience and almost worth the gamble in itself. Other notables Dave has worked with include Tommy Lee Jones and Steve Martin.

Mr. Hager owes most of his success in Hollywood to Bruce Beresford, director of “DRIVING MISS DAISY” and many other fine films. Bruce Beresford became a friend and mentor. The two first met in Charleston S.C. while they were filming “RICH IN LOVE” by novelist Josephine Humphries which Bruce was directing. They became lasting friends and the relationship has meant a world of happy changes for Dave.

Dave returned to Charlotte, NC in 2003 after his mother passed away. He continues to live in Charlotte and care for his Dad. He still does an occasional role when a film company is in the area. His latest part was a cameo in the new George Clooney film.
